Teri McKnight
Teri was born in Calgary and raised for 4 years on her grandparents farm in Springbank, on the west side of the Bearspaw dam, her parents decided to farm on their own so moved west of Red Deer where the family farm is still.
After attending Spruce View and Innisfail schools, Teri graduated and spent a few years as a cord board operator, and receptionist in companies like Chateau Lake Louise and Alpha Milk. She raised her 3 children for most of their childhoods in Carstairs and volunteered for school board, recreation board, Brownies and Guides, and in their church, while working for what's now Cenovus, and the local doctor for a time, also driving for a living. She also attended Olds Agricultural College for two years when her children were young.
She moved to her farm west Edmonton and also drove coaches for many years while raising sheep. Due to circumstances in the family Teri left her farm and moved to Penticton in late 2020 where her children and small granddaughter now all reside.
Teri has embarked on a few volunteer activities in Penticton like Ribfest, Dragon boat race days, Granfondo, Grandmas for Africa and now wants to take on the library board challenge.
