Teen Volunteering: Making Mask Keepers

We are looking for teens aged 13-18 to help make beaded mask keepers that will be edonated to the South Okanagan Womein in Need Society!

How it works:

  • Sign up online using the form below
  • Pick up a mask keeper beading kit from the library on or after Friday, March 19
  • Make 2 (or more!) mask keepers & bring them back to the library by Tuesday, April 6 (about 2 weeks)
  • Receive a letter for 1 hour of volunteer credit, signed by library staff
  • Use any leftover beads or crafts to make yourself a mask keeper (or bracelet or necklace.. or anything else!)

Hey wait - what ARE mask keepers?

Mask keepers clip onto the bottom edge of both sides of your mask, allowing it to hang down from your neck when you need to remove it on the go to eat or drink. It helps you keep your mask on your person, and not accidentally lose it by setting it down, or drop it so it gets dirty!
