FREE PIZZA-- wait, we did that in the wrong order.

If you want to boss the library around, are a superstar event planner, have stellar skills for finding books, comics, dvds & more that teens will love that we can fill our shelves with, AND want free pizza - we want you! The YAC is a group of teens aged 13-18 who tell us at the library how we're doing as well as plan our monthly teen events.

If you are involved in helping out with the Teen Murder Mystery Night this is a VERY IMPORTANT (read: PRETTY MUCH MANDATORY) meeting to attend! We don't have a lot of meetings as important as this one, so please make sure you mark it down in your calendars! We'll be confirming details, food/snacks, drinks, characters, and decoration plans for the event itself!

Be there or be a rhombus!

Oh yeah, did we mention the free pizza? Drop-in, fill up, and share your thoughts. We want to hear from you!

Don't forget, YAC participation can boost your resume & earn you Community Connections hours for your grad portfolio - or other possible volunteer requirements!

Murder in the Steamyard! A Teen Mystery Event

Saturday, February 17
07:00 pm to 09:30 pm

The teen murder mystery night is back! This year we're visiting the relatives of the Von Gilts: The Mastrmynds.

The Mastrmynd Clan was a family of genius inventors from a 19th century that was quite different from our own, full of steampowered technology, airships, laser pistols, and so many more mind boggling scientific creations. On the eve of  unveiling their ultimate invention, the Immortal Engine that could run for eternity, the science laboratory was ransacked and its creator lies dead.

Can you help track down the killer and solve a murder during a night of intrigue, betrayal, and really awesome fashion?

Open to ages 13-18, this is a free teen event.

Please note: If you would like to help write the script and story for the night, create props, or decorate for the event itself, please contact Lara at the library at lharker@summer.com, or message us on our teen Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pentictonlibraryteens! Volunteer credit is available for teens who are able to help with this event.

No registration required, costumes highly encouraged! Stay tuned for inspiration and outfit ideas.
