Cathy has over 35 years of experience in public libraries. She was a children's librarian for 15 years, and later worked as a director where she nurtured community partnerships. Books and reading have been transformational forces in her life and she passed this on to her three children. She believes citizens of all ages and abilities deserve easy access to books, resources, and information. Cathy, her husband, and Labradoodle moved to the Okanagan from Calgary three years ago. Her immediate inclination was to join the public library and find a good book club. Being part of the Penticton community and contributing to the Library board feels like coming home.
