Originally from Victoria, Emily moved to Penticton in 2022. She is a Senior Manager of Policy and Legislation with the BC Government and when not working loves to climb, cook, do pottery, and go on walks with her golden retriever Rhubarb. A lifelong library user, Emily volunteered to be a board member because she believes that libraries are an essential place for community connection and engaging with diverse stories and perspectives. Books she has loved recently (just one favourite is too hard) include East of Eden by John Steinbeck, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer and Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi.
