Lyndsay de Jonge
Lyndsay grew up in Vancouver, where the Library was an important part of her life. It was a safe and fun place to enjoy programs or hang out with a book – and it fueled a lifelong love of reading. Lyndsay has lived in Penticton for almost 13 years and has worked as a nanny for much of that time. The Library continues to be important for her, both personally and professionally. Visiting the Library provides reading material to answer the children’s questions and meet their interests, and offers programs they can all enjoy together – along with some recreation when childcare is done for the day. Lyndsay was delighted to join the Board because she is a dedicated library advocate. She wants to support the Library’s role as a community resource now and into the future.
