What is a Youth Advisory Committee?
The Youth Advisory Committee is a volunteer group designed to let teens be a part of what happens at Penticton Public Library. We meet once a month to:
- plan programs & events for other teens
- provide recommendations for books or other materials the library should have
- help create book lists for reading recommendations
- boss library staff around
- eat free pizza
- earn volunteer hours
- & more!
Our Mission Statement
“The Penticton Public Library’s Youth Advisory Committee will create events to entertain teens. We will encourage teens to explore all aspects of the Library, and share what we do with the community.
(P.S. We have free pizza.)”
If you are interested in joining the YAC, please visit the library and pick up one of the application forms and return it to Lara in person, email it to her at lharker@pentictonlibrary.ca, or click the link below:
