Wes Nickel has lived in Penticton for 40 years. Before retirement he was an elementary school teacher and since retirement, he has dedicated his time to travelling and reading. His favourite movie is Star Wars.

Wes has previously served on the Library Board from 2013 to 2021 and rejoined the board in 2023. He believes that “libraries make the city work”.
